5-6/2022

In order to increase the flow of tourists to the regions of the republic, create welcoming environment for them and increase the incomes of the local population, the necessary infrastructure is being created in the districts. Each of them can develop their own tourism product, thereby developing different areas of tourism. For example, in the Bostanlik district of the Tashkent region there is a free tourist zone «Charvak», Ugam-Chatkal National Park, the reservoir «Charvak» and many others with various interesting tourist offers.
Generally, the Tashkent region has huge opportunities for the development of tourism. Parkent district is a picturesque place, there are also attractions for pilgrimage, there is a good potential for agrotourism, many catering outlets. Zangiota is a historical place, has a complex for pilgrimage tourism «Zangiota», there are also centers of handicrafts and shopping centers. Ahangaran is rich in historical sights and objects of cultural heritage. At the same time, there are facilities for industrial tourism. Buka has unique tourist sites of gastronomic destination. Chinaz is located along the main highway connecting Tashkent with other regions, having the potential for the development of agro-tours, gastronomic tourism. Angren is known for its industrial tourist destination, and the villages of Yangiabad and Lashkarak, located on the territory of the Tashkent region, are known for their beautiful natural views.

Lashkarak. The mountain village with this name is located in the ravine of the Say of the same name – the left tributary of the Akhangaran, originating from the western slopes of the Kuramin ridge. The altitude above sea level reaches about 1,700 meters. The village of Lashkarak is 20 km from Angren and its surroundings are one of the most beautiful corners of the nature of the Tashkent oasis. The surrounding mountains are covered with juniper stand. Along the numerous sayas that flow into the Lashkaraksai, orchards and walnut groves grow. Sai form many waterfalls of various heights, and in spring here and there you can hear the sound of water falling from the mountain slopes. The village is immersed in the shadow of the vaults of gardens and the surrounding juniper forests closing above it. The nature here is so amazingly beautiful that, having come here once, you want to stay here forever!
According to local old-timers, the name of their village comes from the word «lashkar» – warrior. According to legend, in these places in ancient times lived the most hardy and strong people, thanks to which their representatives were more willing to recruit into the army. Aksakals explain the endurance of the local population by the unique properties of local water. Even the milk of cows and goats grazing in the meadows near the local Moylibulok spring has twice the fat content of those that feed on grass elsewhere. The water of this spring is considered not only delicious, but also healing.

Kumushkan. The unique village of Kumushkan is comfortably located 50 km from the capital in a picturesque mountainous area – this is a local health resort and a popular vacation spot for many tourists. Clean mountain air, crystal lakes and rivers are not all that the region can boast of. There is everything for a good rest: infrastructure, hotel complexes, houses of culture and for guests, restaurants of national cuisine, houses of creativity, where the best representatives of folk applied art work, as well as agrotourism complexes. On the territory of the village, work is underway on asphalting roads, leveling internal streets and backfilling with rubble, installing road signs, organizing flower beds, installing night lighting, repairing power lines and gas pipelines, building garbage collection points and finishing the facades of individual residential buildings in order to create favorable conditions for both local residents and guests. In «Kumushkan» it is planned to organize special zones of ethnic culture, various thematic villages – national cuisine, artisans, artists and agrotourism. Moreover, guest houses, a public library, a youth creative center, a platform for organizing festive performances, folk games and sports competitions, a yurt camp, tourist information centers, souvenir shops and handicrafts, modern sanitary and hygienic facilities, points of medical assistance to tourists, artificial cities, as well as the creation of seven seasonal resorts and other facilities will be organized here.

Gelon. This is a settlement in the Shakhrisabz district of the Kashkadarya region, located on the western slopes of the Pamir-Alay Mountains. The inhabitants of the village, founded in 1305, still keep the ancient customs and way of life. The territory is located on the border of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, 80 km from Shakhrisabz, and until mid-2018, foreign tourists could not visit this village due to the special border regime and difficult terrain. But now everything has changed and it is open to tourists. The village is surrounded on all sides by high mountains, reaching a height of more than 4000 meters in the east. This is one of the highest mountain villages in Uzbekistan, so it is not easy to get here – a mountain dirt road with numerous serpentines is difficult, but picturesque. There are practically no flat plots of land in the vicinity of the village where modern agricultural machinery could be used, and the villagers – dehkans – are forced to cultivate the land on steep, reaching 40 degrees, mountain slopes using a simple plow pulled by a pair of oxen or donkeys. Orchards are also grown on steep slopes and in river gorges. A river with the same name flows through Gelon.
