     Geneva, Switzerland<\/strong> \u2014 A delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), participated in the 2026 Regional Forum on Sustainable Development for the UNECE region, held in Geneva, Switzerland.<\/div>\r\n
     Convened under the theme \u201cTransforming Together: Innovative and Equitable Actions for the SDGs,\u201d<\/strong> the Forum focused on accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, advancing practical solutions for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthening regional cooperation.<\/div>\r\n
     The Regional Forum served as the official regional contribution of the UNECE region to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. It provided an important platform for countries of the region to review progress, discuss challenges and priorities, and exchange good practices in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/div>\r\n
     In line with the 2026 High-level Political Forum, the Forum addressed several Sustainable Development Goals under review. Particular attention was given to clean water and sanitation (SDG 6), affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).<\/div>\r\n
     High-level sessions, plenary meetings and peer-learning round tables provided an opportunity to discuss country experiences, policy approaches and practical solutions aimed at accelerating SDG implementation. Participants focused on strengthening cross-sectoral cooperation, expanding innovative approaches and promoting regional exchange of experience.<\/div>\r\n
     The participation of the Uzbekistan delegation provided an important opportunity to present the country\u2019s efforts in sustainable development, agriculture and food security, climate change adaptation and regional cooperation on an international platform.<\/div>\r\n
     The discussions held during the Forum contributed to strengthening Uzbekistan\u2019s engagement with international partners, learning from good practices and supporting the country\u2019s active participation in regional cooperation towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/div>\r\n
