On a global scale, the issues of economy and rational use of energy resources, the use of alternative energy sources in production, social facilities and in all aspects of our daily life are becoming increasingly relevant. Taking into account this trend in our country, significant work is being carried out in this direction on the basis of the relevant resolutions of the President of Uzbekistan and other regulatory documents, which is clearly demonstrated by the example of one of the largest enterprises of the chemical industry – the Kungrad Soda Plant.
This is exactly what our interview with the chief power engineer of the plant, NAMETOV Farkhod Djumabaevich, was about.
– Before we start our interview, could you please give us information about the energy supply of the Joint Venture Kungrad Soda Plant Ltd.
– Actually, we are responsible not only for electricity, but also for the uninterrupted supply of natural gas and industrial water to the plant. Our professional activity also includes the solution of such tasks as the installation of power equipment at the plant, ensuring the complete and high-quality operation of the installed equipment, if necessary, its repair, maintenance. At the same time, the saving of energy resources, their rational use holds our limelight. It is worth saying that electricity to our plant comes from the Takhiatash Thermal Power Plant, which is located 138 km from here, through two overhead power lines of 220 kV.
– It has been a long time since the term «green» energy has firmly come into our lexicon, and it has become a familiar part of our daily lives. What kind of work are you doing in this area?
– Certainly, today this term has to be used more and more often in our work activities. Since, as you know, energy resources are not unlimited, at least a partial replacement of them with alternative ones is the best measure in all respects. Thus, on the roof of the administrative building located on the territory of the plant, we installed a solar photovoltaic station with a capacity of 100 kW / h. Moreover, traditional lighting in street lamps, provided with light bulbs, is gradually being replaced by alternative sources operating at the expense of solar panels. This year, for example, 45 of them were replaced. By the end of the year, we will increase their number to 60, the same number (in the amount of 60 units) is planned to be reoriented to receive a charge by solar exposure next year.
Currently, during the day, the solar photovoltaic station in our factory produces 85 kW of electricity per hour, and 40-45 kW is consumed by the administrative building, the rest goes to the general energy system of the plant and is distributed to production needs. The plant management building is fully provided with photovoltaic energy in the daytime, starting from the first rays of the sun until nightfall. The maximum concentration of energy is observed at noon, when the sun is at its zenith. The use of such an alternative provide benefit in all intents, allowing us to save traditional energy resources.
– Could you please tell us about the indicators of energy savings after the adoption of the using of a source of «green» energy at the plant?
