Uzbekistan’s GDP growth in 2021 reached 6.2% — World Bank

     According to the World Bank, Uzbekistan’s GDP growth in 2021 reached 6.2%, which corresponds to the World Bank’s October forecast. Economic growth in 2022 and 2023 is expected to be 5.6% and 5.8%, respectively.
     Uzbekistan’s GDP growth in 2021, according to World Bank estimates, reached 6.2%, which corresponds to the October forecast. This is stated in the January issue of the World Bank report “Prospects for the World Economy”.
     The World Bank also predicts that the growth of the national economy in 2022 and 2023 will be 5.6% and 5.8%, respectively.
     In December 2021, at a meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was reported that GDP growth in 2021 was 7%, industry – 9.5%, services – 9.5%, construction – 6%, agriculture – 4. The inflation rate was fixed below 10%.
     For 2022, the goal is to increase GDP and industry by more than 7%.
