I am pleased to greet you on the pages of the special issue of the Economic Bulletin of Uzbekistan. In this issue, readers can get acquainted not only with the current state of relations between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates in various fields, especially in trade, economic and investment spheres, but, most importantly, the prospects for further development of our multifaceted cooperation.
Today, both sides are actively working to implement the agreements reached between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the UAE Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in trade, economic, investment, financial and other spheres.
Published jointly by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Abu Dhabi and the Editorial Board of “Economic Bulletin of Uzbekistan”, the magazine contains a variety of articles and interviews covering various aspects of cooperation. Of course, it is important that they are presented to readers in Uzbek, Arabic, English and Russian.
The special issue of the magazine reflects the views of the heads of influential institutions, ministries and agencies of the two countries on the relations between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, the growing level of relations and their prospects.
In particular, the IV meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UAE in April this year, the active relations between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE, articles and discussions covering topics such as inter-parliamentary relations between our countries, as well as other areas of high importance have been brought to the attention of our readers.
It is noteworthy that the publication covers not only trade, economic, investment and financial spheres, but also the development of relations between our countries in such areas as public administration, health, religious sciences and tolerance, pilgrimage tourism.
At the same time, I am sure that the views of the heads of diplomatic missions of the two countries on mutual cooperation and its prospects will be of great interest to you readers.
We are especially pleased that this special issue of the magazine was published in the year of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates.
