On February 10, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a working meeting with Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alibek Kuantyrov, and Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration, Kairat Torebayev.
The parties discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including boosting trade, enhancing industrial collaboration, and lifting trade restrictions. Topics covered included quotas for agricultural exports, digital certification of goods’ origins, and modernization of border checkpoints.
They also reviewed efforts to activate the International Centre for Industrial Cooperation “Central Asia” and finalize a program to increase trade turnover to $10 billion.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to swift implementation, setting clear deadlines and responsibilities.
