Hamroh and UNDP in Uzbekistan Sign Agreement to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship

“Hamroh”, a company that supports women in entrepreneurship, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan have signed an agreement to implement a joint project, the “Women’s Entrepreneurship Support Programme.” The Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan serves as the national partner of the project.

Under the signed agreement, “Hamroh” is the key organizer of the programme, providing comprehensive support to women entrepreneurs—from business consulting to hands-on assistance in implementing their projects. UNDP, committed to human development, joins as a strategic partner, bringing international best practices in mentorship programmes and business acceleration initiatives.

The parties have agreed to collaborate in two key areas: The first is education and professional development. It includes training sessions for women entrepreneurs, covering business management, financial planning and strategic development. The training programme will be based on practical case studies and adapted to participants’ real needs.

The second one – mentorship and acceleration. Within this framework, participants will receive expert support, including mentorship and acceleration programmes, which will help them develop professional skills and scale their businesses.

“We are pleased to collaborate with UNDP, which is known for its effective work in supporting sustainable development, gender equality and women’s empowerment worldwide. I hope that through our joint efforts, we will significantly increase the number of successful women entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and create a more favorable environment for their professional growth and development,” said Dilfuza Nurmatova, CEO of “Hamroh”.

Akiko Fujii, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, noted: “When women entrepreneurs receive targeted support, they don’t just build businesses—they transform communities, drive economic growth, and create a more inclusive future. After many years of supporting women in business through various initiatives, UNDP is excited to leverage our international networks for this new partnership initiative”.
