(English) Practical Measures will Increase the Efficiency of the Enterprise’s Production

 

     Today Navoiazot Joint Stock Company has the status of an international partner as a dynamically developing multi-profile industrial complex and implements a programme for the production of mineral fertilizers, chemical reagents and other small-scale chemical products.
     One of the main segments of Uzkimyosanoat Joint Stock Company, Navoiazot Joint Stock Company, which produces more than 30% of all chemical products in Uzbekistan, covers almost all the needs of industrial, transport, agricultural, fuel and energy complex.
     One of the main goals of the company is to ensure high standards of product quality and compliance with consumer requirements. That is why we were among the first in the Republic to introduce an international quality management system, which guarantees compliance with technological regulations in the production of products. The ability of the enterprise’s specialists to manage production at the level of world standards increases the prestige and efficiency of work both in the Republic and at the international level.
     Currently in the subdivisions of Joint Stock Company ‘Navoiyazot’ the completed production cycle is carried out. Here new technologies are mastered, automated production and control systems are introduced, existing complexes are modernised, new production facilities are built.
     In 2023, Navoiyazot JSC produced more than 80 varieties totalling 5 trillion 220 products. Main types of products: ammonium nitrate – 745 thousand tonnes, urea – 492 thousand tonnes, polyvinyl chloride – 47 thousand tonnes, sodium – 50 thousand tonnes, nitric acid – 609 thousand tonnes, ammonia – 682 thousand tonnes, caustic soda – 53,5 thousand tonnes, ammonium sulphate – 18 thousand tonnes, methanol – 18 thousand tonnes.
     Navoiyazot Joint Stock Company planned to produce 6 trillion 36 million soums in 2024: ammonium nitrate — 784,5 thousand tonnes, urea – 574,5 thousand tonnes, polyvinyl chloride – 60 thousand tonnes, sodium cyanide – 54 thousand tonnes, nitric acid – 646,5 thousand tonnes, ammonia – 768,3 thousand tonnes, caustic soda – 57 thousand tonnes, ammonium sulphate – 20 thousand tonnes, methanol – 34 thousand tonnes.
Nowaday our joint-stock company, as a leading industrial enterprise of the Republic of Uzbekistan, carries out large-scale work on introduction of innovative technologies, diversification of activity, mastering production of products with high added value, capitalisation and growth of incomes due to creation of new capacities.
     Today our joint-stock company has more than 25 main and more than 20 auxiliary shops. It is considered very important to coordinate their work among themselves, to organise timely performance of current and capital repair works. Moreover to repair works, the topical tasks are also the organisation of innovative activity of the enterprise on the basis of the latest scientific and technical achievements, work in cooperation with the leading scientists of the republic and modernisation of the shop engaged in introduction of new developments. We know from our history that untimely repair works, in turn, can lead to great economic and material losses.
     In order to ensure the continuity and stability of production operations, in cooperation with the Russian company “Promvolokno”, natural gas filters were modernised to purify mechanical mixtures containing natural gas, which today lead to numerous emergency shutdowns at the ammonia and urea complex. As a result, it has been possible to reduce the number of unscheduled shutdowns at the complex by at least 10 times per year. As additional information, it should be noted that for each shutdown, the complex usually cease to produce approximately $6.0 million worth of marketable products.
     At Navoiyazot JSC, synthesis gas was processed into 3 stages of ammonia production, from which ammonia was obtained. In turn, 15 tonnes of ammonia was obtained from synthesis gas, which is 15,000 m3 or 22.5 million cubic metres per hour, natural gas is used sparingly. About 30.0 tonnes per hour, or 89.7 million cubic metres, additional ammonium nitrate production was achieved.
     Reconstruction works carried out at the sodium cyanide production plant consist of increasing the diameter of the contact apparatus, changing the volume of the gas mixer and pipelines, transferring the reacting gas heat exchangers from series to parallel operation. Although the design capacity of the shop for finished product output remains at the same level of 31 thousand tonnes per year, its current capacity has been increased to 55 thousand tonnes.
     Due to the reconstruction of thiourea production at the plant shop, i.e. addition of first stage steaming machines and centrifuges to the technological scheme, its current capacity was increased to 2,500 tonnes, despite the fact that the design production capacity is 1,800 tonnes per year.
In the production of caustic soda, the substance sodium chlorate, negatively affecting the technological process as an additive in the anolyte-salt solution, was separated from the physiological solution and localised as a new product. Sodium chlorate is the main raw material for the production of potassium chlorate salt. The production of calcium nitrate without water, potassium nitrate without chlorine and fersuloxycoagulant was established as new products.
     Current and capital works were carried out at the PVC, caustic soda and methanol production complex.
     As you know, the policy of energy security in our republic is consistently pursued. In this regard, solar panels with a capacity of 4.7 MW were installed and commissioned at our enterprise.
     The localisation programme of Navoiyazot JSC for 2023-2024 included production of 7 types of products worth 1.63 billion soums: caustic soda, polyvinyl chloride, sodium cyanide, methanol, sulphuric acid, calcium nitrate, tomochevine, practically replacing the total volume of planned products for 2023 by 1.9 billion soums. The said plan was fulfilled by 117.1 per cent. This year’s programme envisages production of localised products worth 1.7 billion soums. In January-September 2024, a total of 1.5 billion soums were produced. The implementation of the said plan is expected to be 102 per cent.
     Moreover, our company pays special attention to the research and development of innovations based on the requirements of the times. In particular, a number of developments are being worked on together with the central laboratory of our enterprise. For example, our central laboratory has completed research work on the production of magnesium nitrate based on dolomite, brusite and nitric acid and received a laboratory report.
     The company is also conducting pilot work on the production of ferrous sulphate based on used OXK catalysts and spent sulphuric acid. Laboratory studies on extraction of sodium chlorate salt from anolyte composition were also carried out and a conclusion was obtained. Currently, based on Shop-14, a sodium chlorate product is being produced in a pilot industrial unit.
